HOW TO GET HERE BY ROAD
The main M74 north/south motorway allows quick, easy access to the city from the M6 south.
Approaching from the south follow the M74 motorway through the heart of the region and on to Glasgow city centre. The Clyde Valley Tourist Route (via the A73, A72 and A702) offers motorists a relaxed and scenic alternative through the South Lanarkshire countryside.
Approaching from the north the M9 motorway takes you through North Lanarkshire to Glasgow and from the east the M8 from Edinburgh travels through Glasgow city centre.

The apartment is located in Miller Street. Miller Street is a restricted area for parking with a single yellow line. So parking is free after 6pm and all day Sunday. The nearby streets including George Square are pay parking and are free in a parking bay after 6pm and all day Sunday. (George Sq is monitored by CCTV 24 hours).
There are plenty car parks nearby. The nearest is an NCP car park called the Glasshouse in Glassford Street. It is fine if you are just stopping there for a few hours but is expensive for long stays. I would suggest that you park your car in the High Street car park. You can park there overnight and it offers daily and weekly pricing as follows -
- Hourly - 60p .
- Daily £6.00 ((8 a.m. - 6 p.m)
- Overnight £1.50 (6p.m. - 8 a.m)
- Weekly (Mon-Fri daytime) - £14.00
- Weekly inc weekend and overnight - £18.00
The above information can of course change and you can check these prices and obtain weekly tickets from
The Parking Shop
48 Albion Street, Glasgow
Tel 0141 2761830.
It is possible to pay by credit card over the telephone. This means you could arrange a permit in advance and then simply collect it from the Parking Shop (or they may be able to deliver it to the car park for you).
The High St car park is a surface car park and is manned 24 hours. It is pay and display. It is about 10 mins walk from the apartment. Simply turn right from Miller St onto Ingram Steeet; proceed to the end of Ingram St and turn left onto High St where the car park is located next to the train station on your right hand side.
Please be advised that if you park illegally you are almost bound to be towed away in the city centre. It is of course your own responsibility to park sensibly and we offer the above information as advice only.
